Constructing New Fish Pond

Hey guys! I've just made a pond with water in it, and now I'm trying to find a way to catch fish and raise them in the pond to have instant fish so I don't have to go all the way out into the sea. I might even plant some kelp in it too. So all I I've been trying to do is just research on how to catch fish.
